To get that perfect straight hair, you will need several items. You will need a Paul Mitchell Hair Iron, various styling products, and moisturizers. You can use a conditioning spray before straightening your hair, but the most important step of all is to make sure that your hair is perfectly dry before you start ironing it. This is because a damp hair will not freely respond to straightening. This also “cooks” the hair in the process since steam is produced while ironing damp hair; this steam burns the hair shaft which damages the hair entirely.
You should also take note of the size of the flat iron you are using. Most women use a 1 or 1 ½ inch iron which is sometimes to big for your hair length; although, if you have really long hair, you can get flat irons that are even wider. Also when you are ironing your hair, make sure that you separate them into small chunks. This will give you better results and prevent uneven flat areas. If the hair chunk is too large, you won’t be able to iron the hair in the center and thus will result into uneven strands of straight and curly hair. Lastly, when ironing your hair, start from the roots and slowly work your way to the tips. Make sure that the iron is never stationary at single point.
